Meek Mill Raps Over Drake and Kendrick Lamar Diss Track Instrumentals
Meek Mill decided to hone his skills by rapping over the instrumentals of two tracks originally released by Drake and Kendrick Lamar during their iconic hip-hop rivalry.
On Monday, the Philadelphia rapper posted on his Instagram Story, showcasing a freestyle over Kendrick Lamar's track "Euphoria," the first official diss Kendrick directed at Drake in April. In his verse, Meek reflected on his street credibility, weaving his narrative into Lamar's beat.
"We ain't playing no roles or doing no shootings, but we make movies happen / When I'm in the trenches, I tote that extension it came with the Uzi package / I want a rock don't give me no feds n***a I want a Glock," Meek rapped.
Shortly after he shared that clip, another video surfaced online showing Meek delivering bars over Drake's third Kendrick diss track, "Family Matters." In this freestyle, Meek rhymed about taking his son to Target while dressed in high-end fashion, and how he continues to spend money lavishly.
"I be putting on Celine, Rick, and Marni just to take my son to Target / They want to turn me into a target, instead of turning, I'm starving / All of a sudden n***a's stomach turning cause the money burning and we ballin," he rapped.
Despite these freestyles, Meek has mostly remained silent about the ongoing tension between Drake and Kendrick. Back in May, he gave both artists a shout-out in a series of posts, where he also revealed that he hasn't had a publicist to manage his posts.
"My PR has been off for a year or 2 so they mutating my name but when I'm gone they will give it up! Imajustkeep grinding! [The] boy and Kendrick have their own lanes and qualities they great at also," Meek tweeted.
