Future’s ‘Mixtape Pluto’ Debuts at No. 1, Becomes First Rapper With Three Chart-Toppers in Six Months

The verdict is in. With the launch of Mixtape Pluto, Future has officially secured his 11th #1 studio album.

The rapper’s newest project moved 129,000 units in its opening week, earning him yet another chart-topping album and further solidifying his status as one of hip-hop’s most sought-after talents.

Still not convinced of Mixtape Pluto's impact? Consider this: he’s already had two other chart-topping debuts in 2024 (We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin). With this latest success, he has become the first artist to achieve three Billboard 200 number ones within a span of less than six months, according to Billboard.

Future’s streak of #1 albums dates back to 2015 with DS2, and he has almost consistently topped the charts every year since, missing out only in 2018, 2021, and 2023.

Mixtape Pluto marks Future’s first solo full-length release since 2022's I Never Liked You. That project, which earned him a Grammy nod, sold 222,000 units in its debut week and later went platinum.

Interestingly, the latest album contains no guest appearances. Although he hinted at a major collaboration with Travis Scott on the track "South Of France," the feature was ultimately absent from the final release.

Hopefully, Future can take a moment to celebrate this achievement before diving into his next venture. The rapper just concluded the We Trust You tour with Metro Boomin earlier this month.
